CONVICTIONS THAT SHAPE MY DECISIONS

3. CONVICTION: GOD EXPECTS ME TO LOVE EVERYBODY ELSE TOO
“The second most important commandment is: Love your neighbor as you love yourself. There is no other commandment more important than these two.” Mark 12:31 (TEV)

“Love your enemies and do good to them; lend and expect nothing back. You will then have a great reward, and you will be children of the Most High God. For He is good to the ungrateful and the wicked.” Luke 6:35 (TEV)

IMPLICATION:
“Show respect for everyone. Love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God. Show respect for the king.” 1 Peter 2:17 (NLT)

1 Peter “Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have. But do it with gentleness and respect.”

OPPOSITION:
“When the world hates you, remember it hated Me before it hated you. The world would love you if you belonged to it, but you don’t.” John 15:18-19 (NLT)

4. CONVICTION: THE WHOLE WORLD NEEDS JESUS
Jesus: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matt. 28:18-20 (NIV)

IMPLICATION:
John 3:17 “I did not come to condemn the world. I came to save it.”

“Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all ... And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view.” 2 Cor. 5:14-16 (NIV)

OPPOSITION:
“But we’re not fighting against human beings. But against spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers and authorities and cosmic powers of this dark age. So put on God’s armor now so you will be able to resist the enemy’s attacks.”

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matt. 5:11-12

5. CONVICTION: EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH GOD
“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” Matt. 19:26 (NIV)

IMPLICATION:
(Jesus) “According to your faith will it be done to you.” Matt. 9:29 (NIV)

Ephesians 3:20 “With God’s power working in us God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine.”

OPPOSITION:
“Because of their unbelief, He couldn’t do any mighty miracles among them...”

6. CONVICTION: HISTORY’S CONCLUSION IS INEVITABLE
“The Good News about God’s kingdom will be preached in all the world, to every nation. Then the end will come.” Matt. 24:14 (NCV)

“every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.”
